HOW TO REACH SORIA

Soria is accessible by plane, car, train or coach. The closest airports with highest traffic national and international and better connected with Soria are Madrid (218 Km) and Zaragoza (157 km).

If you arrive at Madrid- Barajas Airport you can travel to Soria:  

By bus (coach):

The Madrid-Barajas airport is located 12 kms away from the city centre. You won't need to travel to Madrid because Autobuses Alsa  (ALSA Company) offers direct connections from terminal T4 with Soria. If you are not arriving at terminal 4, there is a free bus service which takes you to this terminal and there is one every few minutes.

Buses depart and arrive in docks 1, 2, 3 and 4 the ground (0) floor (Arrivals T4).

You can purchase your tickets directly at the ticket machine within the airport itself, located in Terminal 4 first floor, in the arrivals lounge.

In addition to the ticket machine, there is a point of sale in the T-4 where you can purchase their tickets from 9 am to 1 am. The box office will be open from Monday to Sunday and are located in the commercial area of arrivals. Near the point of AENA information.

By train Madrid-Chamartín Railway Station:

 

There are train connections from Madrid-Chamartín Railway Station to Soria.

The fastest way to get to Chamartin Railway Station from Barajas airport is by taxi (it costs about 25/30 ¿) .To take a taxi you must go to the appropriate taxi rank. Make sure that the taxi driver has started up the taximeter at the start of the journey (minimum fare). Demand a bill in the case of any complaint. Stops:

• T4 ground floor. Arrivals.
• T1 ground floor. Arrivals. Opposite lounge 2.
• T2 ground floor. Arrivals. Opposite lounge 5.
• T3 ground floor. Arrivals. Opposite lounge 7.

or by underground  METRO (from aeropuerto station "Line/linea 8" to the Nuevos Ministerios station, then "linea 10" to  Chamartín station).

Stops from  Barajas airport:

•  T4, floor -1.
• T2, first floor. Access to the Underground from the airport  via the connecting passageway to car park P2, in the centre of the terminal.

Price:  Remember that it is necessary to pay extra to enter and exit the airport stations (T1,2,3 and T4). The amount is 1 Euro extra.

If you arrive at Zaragoza Airport you can travel to Soria:

By bus (coach):

 

There are direct flights between Zaragoza and Madrid, Barcelona, Lanzarote, Malaga, Palma, Seville, Tenerife, Frankfurt,  Lisbon,  Paris, Rome,  and Frankfurt (Iberia), Alicante, London Stansted, Milan and Rome (Ryanair) . Visit the Zaragoza airport website for further information.

The airport is 9 km away from the city .The best way to get to Delicias Bus Station from the airport is by taxi (average fare 25¿), or  there is bus service between the airport and the Bus/ train Station Delicias and the city centre. The journey takes between 20-30 minutes and a single ticket cost ¿1.60.
Operating hours are: from Mondays to Saturdays, from Zaragoza, between 5:30am and 10:30pm, and from airport, between 6:15am and 11:15pm, buses depart every half an hour. On Sundays, buses depart every hour.

Once in the Central Station, to go from Zaragoza-Soria you should take a bus. There is a bus from Zaragoza to Soria approximately every hour and a half, from 7:30 to 20:30, and it takes about two hours to arrive at Soria. The bus company is Therpasa and you can check the timetable here Zaragoza-Soria and way back Soria-Zaragoza. The price is around ¿10 one way and you can buy it at the station or online in Therpasa. You can also travel to Soria with the bus company LINECAR from the same station.
