From the different hotels suggested, there are several ways of reaching CIEMAT:
Getting from the Madrid-Barajas Airport:
- Metro:
Madrid-Barajas Airport has two metro stations belonging to Line 8 (pink), “Aeropuerto T4” and “Aeropuerto T1-T2-T3”, for the different terminals respectively, which are also connected by shuttle service.
To reach CIEMAT, you have to change at “Nuevos Ministerios” station and take Line 6 (grey) towards “Ciudad Universitaria” station, and once there you can choose one of the routes described above.
- Taxi:
Taxis can be taken from outside the T4 and T1-T2-T3 airport arrivals hall and cost approximately 30.00-35.00€ to CIEMAT. (Please note this is an estimated price and depends on traffic, luggage and persons travelling). Journey time is about 30-40 minutes from the airport.

The starting point of the bus line is in c/Meléndez Valdés nº 72 (Barrio de Peñagrande). CIEMAT´s bus stop in Av Complutense is “Paraninfo-CIEMAT”.

Depending on the location of your hotel you can take one of the following metro stations of Line 3 (yellow): “Ventura Rodriguez”, “Argüelles” or “Moncloa”.
CIEMAT´s nearest metro station is “Ciudad Universitaria”. Once there, you can reach CIEMAT either:

Taking bus line 82 (Peñagrande direction) to CIEMAT (“Paraninfo-CIEMAT” stop).

It takes about 45-50 minutes from “Argüelles” metro station, as shown in the map, along: c/Princesa, Plaza Moncloa, Av. Arco de la Victoria and Av. Complutense.
