HOW TO REACH TO CIEMAT

ARRIVAL AND ACCESS TO CIEMAT:
Getting from the Madrid-Barajas Airport
• By underground ("Metro"):
Madrid-Barajas Airport has two metro stations belonging to Line 8 (pink color), namely “Aeropuerto T4” and “Aeropuerto T1-T2-T3” for the corresponding terminals, which are also connected by shuttle service. To reach CIEMAT you have to get off at “Nuevos Ministerios” station and take Line 6 (grey color) towards “Ciudad Universitaria” station; once there you can choose one of the routes described above.

• By taxi:
Taxis can be taken from outside the T4 and T1-T2-T3 airport arrival halls and cost approximately 30.00-35.00€ to CIEMAT. (please note this is an estimated price and depends on traffic, luggage and people travelling). Journey time is about 30-40 minutes from the airport.
Getting from the Argüelles-Moncloa area
• By bus:
Get Bus Line 82 (Moncloa-Barrio de Peñagrande). This bus line departs from C/ Meléndez Valdés, 72 ("Barrio de Peñagrande" bus stop). There is a bus stop adjacent to CIEMAT at Avenida Complutense, which is named “Paraninfo-CIEMAT”.

- By underground ("Metro"):
Depending on the location of your hotel you can take one of the following metro stations of line 3 (yellow): “Ventura Rodríguez”, “Argüelles” or “Moncloa”. CIEMAT´s nearest metro station is “ciudad universitaria”. once there, you can reach ciemat either
• On foot, which takes about 10-15 minutes or,
• Taking bus line 82 ("Barrio de Peñagrande" direction) to CIEMAT (“Paraninfo-CIEMAT” stop).
• On foot:
It takes about 45-50 minutes from “Argüelles” metro station along C/ Princesa, Plaza de Moncloa, Avenida Arco de la Victoria and Avenida Complutense.
When accessing CIEMAT
Please note that you will be requested to show your passport / identity card at the security point, after which you will be given a guest card to allow you access CIEMAT and head for building 1 in order to attend the corresponding event.
